The seashell flute was discovered, developed and crafted in 2003 by Michael Ryan, a musician with over fifty years of experience playing wind, string and percussion instruments.

Each unique shell contains an octave and a half of diatonic notes, which is more than enough to play a wide variety of music.

The seashell flute was discovered, developed and crafted in 2003 by Michael Ryan, a musician with over fifty years of experience playing wind, string and percussion instruments.

Seashell flutes are available in the keys of C and D, which correspond to player’s hand size. D is for women with average to small hands; C is for men with average size hands and women with slightly larger than average size hands.
The Screw Shell Flute is recommended for players ten through adult.
